En plus, la demoiselle est incroyablement stylée. La preuve. Sky Ferreira est une It Girl dans toute sa splendeur. Une apparition dans un clip de la chanteuse Uffie, la couverture de plusieurs magazines ultra hype comme Interview et Jalouse mais aussi un EP électro pop à son actif et la préparation d'un album pour la fin d'année. Là où d'autres jeunes femmes sont simplement reconnues pour leur sens de la mode et leurs apparitions dans des soirées huppées, Sky Ferreira, à un truc en plus, à savoir, un véritable talent. Mais comme toute It Girl qui se respecte, elle est aussi sûre de son style. Entre veste en fourrure, collants troués et short en jean ultra court, la jeune femme s'assume à fond. Aperçue au vernissage de l'exposition de Richard Hambleton à New York, hier soir, Sky était vêtue d'une robe Givenchy en satin et mousseline de soie à l'imprimé impérial qui lui donnait tout d'une Duchesse. Mais une Duchesse rock'n'roll qui a fait twister sa tenue avec des godillots montants et des chaussettes blanches. Comme quoi, on peut être encore plus stylée qu'Alexa Chung à seulement 19 ans.

Vmagazine.comFollowing his widely circulated photos of Frances Bean Cobain, Hedi Slimane has posted a photo shoot on his diary featuring another of fashion’s favorite new faces, V69 discovery Sky Ferreira. Shot on location in Los Angeles, where Ferreira is currently recording her first full-length LP for release in early 2012, the photos evoke a childlike sense of wonder—fitting, as they were all taken near her childhood home. V had a chat with the emerging pop star to talk about how the whole thing went down. “I met Hedi in New York, we were introduced by Stephen Gan,” she says. “They both suggested we shoot some photos. I was completely unprepared and surprised!” Later, when the two found themselves on the opposite coast, they got in touch. “We met up in Venice Beach, where I grew up, and then went to the Santa Monica Pier. Most of the photos were actually done on a ferris wheel when we got to the top. Then we went to the carousel. I would cry when I was five years old if my dad wouldn’t take me on it. It turned out to be really embarrassing. Hedi was taking photos and some lady told him to stop because they were ‘racy’ so I got stuck on the ride with a bunch of 5-year-olds. He had to watch me go around on the ride for like 5 minutes straight—and it definitely wasn’t as great as I remembered.”

And while the 19-year-old may be the reason to explore the Adidas Originals website, Jeremy Scott is the reason to stay: Right now, select pieces of his collection with the sportswear giant are available for purchase, including two pairs of designer sneakers. If you want the leopard print wedges or the winged ballet flats (a lovely and very sweet alternative to the neon winged high-tops that have become something of a Jeremy Scott signature), you can go to the Adidas site right now and buy them. No waiting around for secret pop-up sales in London and Paris. No stalking The Cobra Snake until you can mug the shoes off his feet. Just a simple point-and-click transaction to kicks that are usually impossible to get. We'd like to think Sky had something to do with this, but it's probably just a coincidence. Either way, a website that stocks both our favorite pop starlet and limited-edition sportswear gold isn't a bad combo at all. (Unless you're allergic to neon and day-glo, in which case, stay far away.)
